Video I've Seen Too Many Times #8: Gettin' Over You
A few weeks ago, I had no idea who David Guetta was. Now I know all too well... he's a French DJ who writes songs about love and apparently about how hard it is to get over someone. At least, I think that's what this song is about. European music's not the same as North American music, so it could be about existentialism or something like that.
Unfortunately, he has not deigned to allow people from my country to watch the video on his official channel, so I present to you a slightly lower quality version.
Damn, those LMFAO guys love to party.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #7: Sexy and I Know It
For those who do not know, LMFAO stands for Laughing My Fucking Ass Off, which is something I used to do at this video before I had to watch it 500 times for work. Well, not really, but at least I didn't shake my fist at it in anger like I do now.
Fun fact: This video prominently features both Ron Jeremy and TV's Wilmer Valderrama. Without looking, see if you can guess which one of them was in "Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best" and which one was in "Can't Beat the Feeling". Both of which seem like they should be the names for 1980s porno films.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #6: Set Fire to the Rain
Adele, you so crazy. You can't set fire to the rain, no matter how much you want to burn your ex-boyfriend to death. At least I think that's what this song's about.
This video's a little different in that it's a live performance as opposed to a straight-up music video. It's kind of a cheap way to do it, but I don't want to criticize since Adele might try to set me on fire with her mind powers.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #5: Starships
If I didn't know she was from Trinidad and Tobago, I'd swear that this video was some kind of admission on Nicki Minaj's part. Like she's really an alien from the planet of giant boobs, butts, and lips. As it is, I guess the whole thing's just evidence of what happens when everyone gets "higher than a motherfucker"... and it is glorious. I mean, after hearing it 130 times, I can't say I like most of the song all that much, but I do love a good beach rave.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #4: One Thing
One Direction is another one of those musical phenomena that was insanely popular even though I had no idea who they were. Although, in this case, it's fair to say that I'm not really in their demographic. They seem to be a more or less standard boyband, although I'm having a little trouble figuring out which one is supposed to be the "tough" one, since they all look about as tough as soggy bread.
Oddly enough, since I don't have to watch the entire video every time, I still have no idea what the "One Thing" is. I do know that the one in the tie has tried playing it cool, though. Boy, do I ever know that. Enjoy!

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #3: Feel This Moment
This video (and much of the song) seems to be about how awesome Pitbull is. Which is weird, because pitbulls are banned in my province. While it's sort of catchy, most of its appeal comes from its heavy use of a sample from a-ha's Take On Me. When you include the guys who wrote that song, Feel This Moment has a total of ten writers, which seems a bit excessive.
Personally, I prefer a-ha's song, but what do I know. Maybe it's because I didn't have to watch it 60 times this week.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #2: Rolling in the Deep
For the longest time, I had no idea who Adele was. I don't pay a heck of a lot of attention to music, so she was winning a bunch of awards, but I couldn't name a single one of her songs. Now I can. I disagree with the title of "Rolling in the Deep". It seems like it should be called "We Could've Had It All" or something to that effect. In any case, I've watched the video six thousand or so times today, and now you can, too.

Video I've Seen Too Many Times #1: I Knew You Were Trouble
Part of my job involves watching videos on the internet. Because of the nature of my work, I wind up watching some of them several dozen times. Starting today, and going until I get bored with it, I shall share those videos with you, the people of the internet.
Today's video is the music video for Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble". It's been watched 163 million times, about 5% of which were by me. At least, it feels that way. Anyway, it's kind of a catchy tune, and doesn't really make me want to kill myself. She just needs to find a nice guy who won't make her want to write twelve new songs if they break up.

Sir Patrick Stewart is the best Knight
Not only does he lend gravitas to Seth MacFarlane's productions, go on epic man dates with Sir Ian McKellen, but he also makes pithy responses when The Guardian says he's gay.
.@Poynter But @guardian I have, like, five or even SEVEN hetero friends and we totally drink beer and eat lots of chicken wings!
— Patrick Stewart (@SirPatStew) February 18, 2014
Well, @guardian it makes for a nice change...at least I didn't wake up to the internet telling me I was dead again.
